How the numbers are worked out
The calculation follows each missed call to the job it could have become.
Missed calls / month = calls per week × 4.33 × share missed
Callers lost = missed calls × share who go elsewhere
Jobs lost / month = callers lost × share of new work × win rate
Revenue lost / year = jobs lost × average job × 12
What it leaves out
- Customers who come back for years after a first job.
- Google reviews and word of mouth from a customer you served well.
- Time spent calling back people who already hired someone else.
The comparison with our AI receptionist (CA$149 a month) is in revenue: it costs less than one average job. What you keep from a job depends on your margin.
Questions
How do I know how many calls I miss?
Your phone provider’s app or bill lists missed calls. Otherwise, tally one normal week by hand. It’s usually more than people think.
Why don’t people call back?
Someone with a leak or an appointment to book calls the next business on the list. Adjust the percentage to your reality: if your customers are loyal, set it lower.
What does a missed-call text-back do?
When you can’t pick up, the caller gets a text within seconds: “Sorry, we’re on a job. What can we help with?” The conversation continues by text and you get a summary. That’s our AI receptionist.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing is stored or sent unless you use the form at the bottom of the page.
